Making rent with what you make playing in an ’80s cover band is perhaps a lofty goal. But the Whitefish-based New Wave Time Trippers aren’t about setting limits. Ultimately, these guys want to make rent AND dominate the world, preferably by way of playing some corporate events on the regular in Vegas. Nicky Ouellet brought us this story of ambition and kick drums when she was a grad student at the University of Montana School of Journalism. It’s been awhile, but the Time Trippers are still doing what they do.
