Gina Brown’s daughter, Cassie, was 22 when she died. Gina was heartbroken. That was true as she trained as a distance runner. During one of her routes, she stopped at an irrigation ditch in Missoula and let it out. And then kept running. She’s still an amazing half-marathoner, and wrote this essay for Make It Missoula about training and finishing while dealing with her own diabetes. You wanna be inspired?
